CMP tree work
CMP would like you to know that they will be conducting tree trimming and removal if necessary along their lines this summer. They may or may not be able to notify property owners ahead of time. If you have a tree near the lines that you are fond of, you may want to give CMP a call!
RSU #12 Budget Meeting
The annual RSU #12 Budget Meeting will take place on May 22, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Chelsea Elementary School on 560 Togus Rd. in Chelsea. Westport Island voters will be able to vote on the 2024-2025 RSU #12 budget. The Town Clerk will be present to register new voters. 6/11/24 State Primary, RSU #12 Budget Referendum, & Municipal Election
Westport Island voters may now request an absentee ballot for the 6/11/24 State Primary, RSU #12 Budget Referendum, & Municipal Election by:
- Filling out a paper Absentee Ballot Application available at the Town Office
- Calling the Town Clerk at 207-882-8477, ext. 3 to complete an application over the phone.

The offices of Select Board Member 2 and RSU #12 Board of Directors Member will be on the Municipal ballot. If you are interested in running, please go to the Town Office during regular office hours to take out nomination papers. See the Nomination Papers Notice for details.

Bridge work this summer/fall
The DOT will be re-paving the Westport bridge over the summer and fall. You can check out the plan here. Once again, our patience and neighborliness will be tested as we wait for the light to turn green (even if no one is coming the other way! 😊
